Day 1 – Arrival Jaffa-Tel Aviv-Caesarea (D)

Visit the old city of Jaffa and the old port, a panoramic view of Tel Aviv. Continue to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ.

Day 2 – Megiddo – Mt. Carmel –Haifa -Galilee (B,D)

Visit Megiddo overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Travel to Mount Carmel where the Prophet Elijah fought the Ba’al prophets and on to Haifa-view of the Harbor and the Mountains of Galilee.

Day 3 – Around the Sea of Galilee (B,D)

After breakfast the first stop will be the Mt. of Beatitudes. Near here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles.

Travel to Tabga, where 5000 were fed by Jesus who performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves. Continue to Capernaum where much of the Galilean Ministry took place.
Afterwards, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and hear how Jesus calmed the stormy sea and walked upon these waters. Enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. Then stop at the Jordan River in the Yardenit Baptismal Site for Baptism.

Day 4 – Nazareth-Cana-Mt. Tabor (B,D)

After Breakfast travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life and visit Mary’s Well.

Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. We drive through the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea area. Proceed to Qumran, where were found the ancient Dead Sea scrolls. Enjoy floating in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth and arrival in the holy city. Drive to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight at Ramada Jerusalem

Day 5 – Jerusalem day (B, D)

Drive up the Mt. of Olives to view Jerusalem as Jesus would have seen it. Visit the church of the Lords prayer (Pater Nosta) Visit the Garden of Gethsemane with its ancient olive trees. Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Lions’ Gate Visit the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the lame man.

Continue to Pontius Pilate’s Hall of Judgment the place of the trial of Jesus. Follow the Via Dolorosa. Visit Mt. Zion including the Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. Visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, built on the site of the House of Caiaphas the High Priest.

End the day at the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Ramada  Jerusalem

Day 6 -Temple Mount and Mt. Zion (B, D)

We start with a visit to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) in the Old City and a view of the Temple Mount, where Solomon’s Temple once stood. At the Davidson Center we will have an opportunity to experience the world of the Jewish Pilgrims arriving at the Temple in Jesus’ times, and see the excavations of the “Southern Wall”, including the ancient steps leading to the Temple.

According to Time of Availability, visit the excavations of the “Western Wall Tunnel”. Continue through the Jewish Quarter to the Temple Institute.

Day 7 -Temple Mount and Mt. Zion (B, D)

Visit City of David and the spring of Gishon.

Continue to Yad Vashem, Memorial Museum to the six million Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust.

Day 8  – Israel Museum and departure

Departure To be Determined (June/July)

Departure Time Please arrive by 10:20 AM for a prompt departure at 10:50 AM

Return Time Approximately 8:30 PM
